Most runners were slower to the finishing line as temperatures and humidity soared during the first running of the Rotary Club 10k. The race organised by the Rotary Club in conjunction with Wallasey Athletic Club was run along the embankment at Leasowe to Harrison Drive, Wallasey and back, the race attracted nearly 200 runners. First Wallasey runner home was Greg Jones in 6th place in a time of 37:32, Sharon Lamont was first lady for Wallasey and 4th overall lady in 46.42. Full results are here.
