Last Saturday saw the usual gathering of faces old and new at Club H.Q. to take part in the 3½ mile Christmas Handicap. As frequently happens in a handicap of this kind the limit man Bob McCaig jnr. had lasted the course well to come in a clear winner. Second and third places were taken by John Young and Billy Harris respectively, who both put in some most determined running over the last 11/2 miles of shore and sandhills.
